At Standard Concrete, we believe that building community involves more than just building concrete structures and providing jobs; it means contributing to the community.

Our employees participate in youth sports and charitable fund raising. We have established a donation program and matching funds program for many of these charities.

Heal the Bay
Sponsored by the Surfrider Foundation, Heal the Bay is held every September. Coordinated by one of our Customer Service Operations Supervisors, employees and their families donate their time to help clean up a local beach.

AIDS Walk Orange County
Led by our credit department, Standard employees participate in this walk to raise money for AIDS research. Employees find sponsors for their effort and Standard matches the funds raised.

Sheepfold
Twice a year, used items are collected in a drive to support the Sheepfold Battered Wives home. Started by the accounts payable group, this program receives donations from many other employees as well. All donations go to Sheepfold in support of battered wives who often arrive with nothing more than the clothes they are wearing.

Adopt-A-Family
The Santa Ana plant and driver personnel participate in an Adopt-A-Family program. Through this program, the plant provides all of the holiday cheer for a family that might not otherwise be able to enjoy this time of year. The plant shops for the gifts for the children, and provides the holiday meal and a gift certificate for additional groceries.
