Rapid setting concrete is concrete that is capable of attaining
its specified strength at an earlier age than normal concrete
through the use of high-early strength cements and/or chemical
admixtures.
Standard Concrete has formulated concrete mixes to
meet 2,500 psi from 4 to 24 hours, depending on your particular
project needs.
This can add up to substantial cost savings when
compared to conventional concrete mixtures for opening up concrete
pavements to traffic earlier and minimizing lane closures.
Rapid setting concrete can provide other
cost benefits by "fast-tracking" the
backfilling, post-tensioning and shoring removal operations on
your project.
If your project requires the use of rapid setting
concrete, contact our
Technical
Services department for more information. We can meet your
particular requirements.
