In 2005, Standard Concrete Products, Inc. completed installation of the Enviroguard Chute Wash System on the entire fleet of trucks that service the Los Angeles and Orange County areas.  What does this mean for our customers? What is Enviroguard? The Enviroguard is a chute wash out system that is installed on the back of a ready-mix truck and is simple to operate. It consists of a double-air diaphragm pump.  Instead of hosing down chutes on a job-site, which can lead to ground water contamination, the clean up is contained and the environment is protected.  It can be used on every delivery in the ready-mix industry.
 

What does it mean for our customers? The Enviroguard eliminates the need, and therefore the cost for a wash-out area. The system is completely self-contained, so the contractor won't need a wash out box and won't have to pay the cost of disposing of waste.  With this system, the driver can wash out anywhere.
 

What does it mean for our environment? Standard Concrete Products, Inc. is totally committed to the protection our environment.  The Enviroguard, as explained above, prevents potential contamination of ground water and sewer systems. Any material that might end up in the sewers could end up polluting the oceans. The Enviroguard protects our oceans, while providing a valuable service to our customers.
